Logan and Cole

January 2004

Well we had some major milestones yesterday! Logan had 3 teeth finally poke through the gums. His mouth is still swollen because he is working on more molars and canines! That brings the total to 12 teeth! And last night he took a step by himself. He was so proud. He took it then sat down like it wore him out. Little ham!

Things are good he is almost over the seperation anxiety when I drop him off at school. And next week he will no longer be the only boy. They are moving up Miller. Who is this boy that has been big since birth. They have been nicknamed the bash brothers when they are together because they are some much bigger than all the other kids.

I was going to put this under the stats page but it doesn't fit. Last night I was sticking my finger in Logan's mouth to feel his gums and you will never guess what I felt. He literally has 7 teeth trying to come out right now! All four canines and three molars. No wonder he hasn't been eating very well. The poor baby's mouth hurts. Every day he is closer to walking. He can stand and dance without holding on to anything and he can walk holding on to one of your hands but he just isn't brave to venture out on his one yet!

This weekend Logan got to meet his distant cousin James. They had a great time playing together, although Logan wasn't so sure about sharing his toys! If you want to see pictures of them together check out the James Comes To Visit Album!

Also this weekend Logan became a little braver about walking. He will now walk with you holding on to one hand, he still prefers you holding both, but hey this is a start! He is also starting to stand a little longer by himself without holding on to anything. He does it best if he has a toy in his hands to distract him from holding on.

He is also trying to get 3 teeth! Two top canines and still that top molar... That would explain the buckets of drool!

Other than that his little personality is still shining through and we are loving every minute with him!

Well in a couple of weeks Logan will be the loan boy in his class at school. The other little boy is moving up. He will be the class 'stud' with all his girlfriends! He is still adjusting and will kind of whimper in the mornings when I drop him off but I think he is almost adjusted.

Another molar it trying to break through the gums as well as a canine. I tell you what that boy has got some teeth now!

Last night he tried really hard to use a pillow to climb onto the couch. He didn't make it, but he sure came close. Little monkey!

Well Logan is 13 months old. And he is starting to do all sorts of things. He can now say du (duck). Travis swears he said I love you the other day. He will even say his name Lolo (Logan). Instead of no he just shakes his head. And he loves to dance with his Leap Frog Table.

I am trying to figure out how to get video from the camera, onto the computer and onto his website. That way ya'll can see him 'walking' assisted by his toys. And last night he was feeding himself with a spoon!! He really did do a great job! I can't wait to figure out how to get that on here!

Logan started with the toddler class this week. When I drop him off in the mornings they say that he cries for about 5 minutes and then is fine. He is still adjusting.

Last night was a rough one at our house. Logan didn't want to go to bed. We would get him calm put him down and then he would scream and cry. We would walk out for about 5 minutes and he wouldn't stop. This continued for 3 hours! Finally at around 11pm he had worn himself out and slept all night. Hopefull that was a one night thing!

Other than that things are going great. When Logan moved up he refused his baby cereal and will only eat the big kid breakfast that has consisted of different types of dry cereal and mixed fruit. They said that after his 5 minute crying spell Logan has a great day! Today he will be singing songs and getting to rip paper! What fun!
