Logan and Cole

Today was a big day for us! Logan had his PreK graduation! He will be starting Kindergarten in the fall and is so excited! They marched into the class to Pomp and Circumstance with sunglasses on. Very cute. Logan was an honorary awardee because he is still 4 and wasn't a full member of the PreK class until this semester. He was also awarded for being a member of the 100 club (meaning he could count to 100 by himself).

I took Cole out of his class to watch. Today Cole decided to dress himself (he picked out his clothes). He wore 3 shirts to school today and wouldn't have it any other way!

Cole had his 2 year check up on Thursday. He was 28 1/2 pounds and 33 3/4 inches. He is a little over 50% for weight and over 75% for height. The funny thing is he is 3 inches shorter than Logan was as this age! And 2 pounds less. He is completely healthy and impressed the dr with his vocabulary and his love for books!

Cole had his first trip to the dentist yesterday.
Cole actually got a cleaning with the yummy cookie toothpaste. He tolerated that well. He didn't however like the hygentist scraping his teeth because they had some buildup on them.

By the time the dentist came in he wasn't a fan of opening his mouth. She finally got to count his teeth and told me I need to start flossing because his teeth are super overcrowded.

We had a great birthday on Saturday. Cole loved it until it came time to sing Happy Birthday. The moment everyone started singing he tried to hide in the chair and just started bawling. I had to hold him through the song and then he refused to blowout his candle. I had to do it.

    It was so cute!

Cole had a ton of family at his party. His Grandma and Grandpa, Christy and Brad, Grant and Justine, Gimmie and Daddo, Nanny, Kent, Mark, Lorie and Victoria and then us. It was a great Mexican fiesta with enchiladas and margaritas and of course cake and icecream!

Logan has been getting in so much trouble at school. I am getting so tired of punishing him. I know he is getting bored again. Whatever will I do for the next 12 years? Part of his punishment yesterday at school was he had to copy words that his teacher gave him. And I was so proud because I could actually read them!! And they weren't easy words, they were words like watermelon, violin, cello. So on the back of the paper I wrote his name the date and the fact that this was punsihment, but didn't he do great!

Well we took Cole to the dr. again!!! He gained another pound in 2 weeks. He is now 29lbs. But he has no ear infection like we thought. We have no idea why he has been yanking at his ears. She tried to look at his two year molars coming in and he clamped his mouth shut on the tongue depressor. Silly kid. He does have a nasty cough too so she gave us some cough medicine.
